Why Stent soap and not soap? Well, most soaps contain various additives such as complexing agents and surfactants. It is these additives that make traditional soap only clean and leave no protection. Stent Soap Special is formulated without such additives, so it both cleans and protects.
The right choice of fatty acid with the right distribution of the lengths of the carbon chains and the right molecular distribution
is important. This causes the protection to penetrate deeper and last longer. Cheap fatty acids usually work worse as they are an uneven mixture from time to time.
When the floors are washed with Stone Soap Special, the surface is naturally regreased, which provides good protection against dirt and water as an added bonus, the calcium and magnesium in the stone react with the fatty acid, forming a very thin but hard layer of calcium magnesium salts on the surface. This layer provides extra protection and gives the finish that you want.
When stone floors are washed with traditional soap, the possibility of forming a shelter is prevented due to
the complexator dissolves the calcium and magnesium salts so that they accompany the washing water and the
synthetic surfactants ensure that no regreasing protection remains. Sure, it'll be clean, but the surface
left without protection and will be more difficult to clean and the surface finish will wear off faster.
Stone soap Special has a more neutral pH of between 8.2 and 8.9 while traditional soap has pH value up 10.5-11.5. Lower pH makes it easier for the protective layer to remain in the surface during washing.
