Description
Paraffin oil is used for different types of stone surfaces such as kitchen counters and tables where you want to increase protection on the stone against grease and other types of impurities. The stone will have a slightly darker tone after treatment.
User manual:
Apply Paraffin oil to the surface to be treated. For example, use a clean cloth or a role. Work the oil into the surface with a cloth, then let it soak in for 2 hours. Make sure that it sucks in evenly over the surface so that the surface is equally protected everywhere. To avoid puddles, wipe off any excess. Allow the surface to become almost completely dry, then dry the surface one last time.
Keep in mind that different stone varieties are different porous and thus require different amounts of Paraffin oil to become saturated. If the surface becomes flame-retardant, it has been unevenly distributed and then you can easiest to repeat the treatment directly on the surface but with less Paraffin oil. If the surface feels a little greasy, take Stentvål Special – The original and lukewarm water and use a sponge to wash off the excess. When cleaning the surface, we recommend that you use one of our stone soaps.
