Reinforcer 2 increases concrete resistance to abrasion, acid infestation and spillage from grease and oil. And minimizes the impact of black rubber wheels. Reinforcer 2 is intended to be used on new and old concrete for impregnation and hardening of the surface. Reinforcer 2 also serves as dust binding for bearings and industrial floors, parking decks, garages, etc.m. provides a protective polymer layer as extra protection.
Reinforcer 2 has these advantages:
Ready to use right away.
It is easy to apply.
Improves durability and increases abrasion resistance compared to untreated surfaces.
Reduces dust formation from mortar and concrete floors.
It protects the surface of the concrete.
It leaves an invisible film on the surface.
Make it easier to keep clean.
It improves the end result when grinding/polishing different concrete surfaces.
Has good penetration.
It is water-based = solvent-free and is completely colourless and odourless.
Reduced water loss from new concrete while it solidifies.
For professional use only. pH about 11.4 in concentrate. Store Frost-free. This product is manufactured in Sweden.
Consumption:
1.0-1.5 kg / 10 m2 / layer. Varies with the porosity of the surface, the denser/harder the less consumption. Perform a test to ensure that the desired result or appearance is achieved. Keep in mind that the same concrete surface often changes a little in quality, which means that the consumption can vary on the same surface.
Use:
Used only on concrete surfaces. Etching on glass and more read more on restrictions below. Fresh concrete: Surfaces must be free from water penetration and strong enough to withstand surface treatments. For best results, concrete floors should be treated with Reinforcer 2 at least 7-14 days after they have been placed or after the cement has had enough time to hydrate.
Hardened/old concrete: Surfaces must be undamaged, textured, clean, free from frost, cement skin, surface water, oils, grease, coatings, any loose particles and other possible surface pollution. If you have any doubts,
apply to a test area first. For hardening during grinding/polishing, use recommended methods from your machine supplier, regarding the grinding/polishing step you should treat the concrete surface. The substrate must be prepared by appropriate mechanical preparation methods such as grinding, high pressure cleaner, etc.m. depending on the condition of the surface. In all cases, all dust and loose material, oil and grease must be completely removed from all surfaces before the product is
Applied. There may be moisture in the substrate, but not standing water.
Application:
The concrete surface must be clean and free of standing water, dust, dirt, paint and oil, and exceed +5°C. For dust bonding porous surfaces: Apply an opaque film with a low pressure sprayer – or. pour out, for example with watering can and distribute with soft brush/broom or preferably with "microfiber" mop. NB! Excess in puddles is smeared. Once the surface has dried, the treatment should be repeated for best results. Allow to harden a few hours in between, the surface should be sticky before restocking. Drying time to be fully usable: At 10°C about 12 hours and at 20°C about 8 hours.
For dust bonding of hard glossy surfaces: Apply an opaque film with a low pressure sprayer, distributed immediately after spraying with microfiber mop. It is important to try the consumption/technique before starting to achieve the desired result. If you get too much (puddles) and the substrate cannot absorb the amount imposed, crystallization can occur (white spots, patterns on the surface). Therefore, better to treat the floor 2 times but with less amount per time. Remember to cover glass/aluminium/clinker before applying – see limitations below. Spray a bit off the surface and distribute with micromopp. Rinse immediately in case of spillage on sensitive surfaces.
Surface and ambient temperature: Must be between 7°C and 35°C.
Moisture content of the substrate: Can be applied to damp concrete, without any water penetration. Relative humidity max 99% without rain or dew. Un-hardened surfaces and floors must be at least 3°C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or flowering on the floor surface.
Tool cleaning: Clean all tools and application equipment with lukewarm water immediately after
use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Limitations: Do not use syringes that have been used to spray silicones or release agents. Do not mix different products.
Make sure that the spraying equipment is cleaned thoroughly before use. Reinforcer 2 will increase abrasion resistance compared to untreated concrete or coatings of the same type. Immediately wash off leftover sprayed material from glass, aluminium or high gloss surfaces with water to avoid etching the surfaces. Do not use on substrates that have previously been treated with hardening agents/membranes, these layers must be removed for the silicate to react and work with the concrete. In order to obtain a homogeneous result, no dry stains or "puddles" of material must be left when applied. Finish further where necessary. The results of the substrate come and variance depending on age, cement content, moisture content, porosity and how far the product has penetrated the substrate. Reinforcer 2 does not outweigh poor substrates with low cement content. It is not intended for lightweight or extremely porous surfaces or with worn surfaces. Reinforcer 2 does not hide serious stains or excessive wear. An invisible film is formed that may later give a slightly darker shade. Does not create a structure, but the substrate determines the appearance. Do not pour used liquid back into the original container.
Reinforcer 2 is part of our own Perform Floor-Recond System and is manufactured in Sweden.
